Formentera
Spend a day in Formentera. A quiet and peaceful island with a real hippie atmosphere. Reachable within about 45 minutes by a local boat. Rent a bike at the harbour and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful beaches of Platje de ses Illetes. Here you can enjoy beautiful strips of white sand and crystal clear water.


Plaza del Sol
Plaza del Sol is highly recommended, an attractive square in Ibiza town near the historic centre. There are many different restaurants and terraces on this square. If you go here, the eponymous Plaza del Sol restaurant is highly recommended!
Ses Salines
Natural Park Ses Salines is a beautiful area to visit. With an area of 3,000 hectares on land and 13,000 hectares in the sea, this landscape is gigantic. The nature park is located in the south of Ibiza and even covers part of the island of Formentera. In the park, you will be introduced to deserted beaches and beautiful salt lakes.
Es Vedrà
During sunset, you must visit the Es Vedrà nature reserve. Here you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset where the mountain Es Vedrà forms a silhouette in the water. At sunset, this is perhaps one of the most magical places in Ibiza.


Museo Arquelogico
The archaeological museum of Ibiza and the island of Formentera is located in two places, namely in the Dalt Vila and at the Puig des Molins (or the hill of the windmills). The Archaeological Museum is an institution that preserves, examines and displays the remains of Ibiza and Formentera's past. See, amongst other things, one of the best-preserved cemeteries in the world with its underground tombs.
Beaches


Cala d'en Serra
Cala D'en Serra is one of the most beautiful calas on the island of Ibiza. Enchantingly beautiful and accessible by a winding road. Go for a swim at Cala d’en Serra, a dream beach where almost only locals come.
Cala d'Hort
The view of the beach of Cala d'Hort is the best view on the island. From this beach, you have a view of Es Vedra, the mystical rock that lies off the coast of Ibiza. Cala d'Hort is a small beach with rocks and sand. The beach of Cala d'Hort is one of the most beautiful places to view the famous Es Vedra rock. Also called the most magical place in Ibiza.


Playa Benirras
Enjoy a breathtaking sunset in the bay of Benirras. Every Sunday evening there are even a number of hippies present, who watch the sun sink deeper into the sea while drumming. A very unique experience.
Cala Xarraca
The most beautiful beach in Ibiza can be found in the north: Cala Xarraca. This beach is not big, but it is highly recommended! The small sandy beach is surrounded by rocks and the water is crystal clear. The view of the beach is not only incredibly beautiful, but it is also nice and quiet.
Cala Nova
Cala Nova is an elongated sandy beach with fine sand and turquoise water. The water is very shallow for quite some time, making it accessible for children. This is definitely a family beach. There are 3 restaurants in the vicinity of the beach.
Kids
Ecological farm 'Can Muson'
A great activity on Ibiza with children is a visit to the ecological farm "Can Muson". This farm is not very big, but the garden is very well maintained and there are a number of farm animals. There is also a nice playground in a nice shadowy spot. Attached to the farm there is a fruit and vegetable shop, where they sell a number of home-grown fruit and vegetables.


Aquarium Cap Blanca
Just north of San Antonio, you will find Aquarium Cap Blanc. This aquarium is located in a natural cave and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. In the cave, there is a lake which is divided into two parts with many kinds of coloured fish from the Mediterranean. You can also see sharks, rays, starfish and squid.


Acrobosc Ibiza
Acrobosc Ibiza is a fantastic climbing forest where young and old can enjoy an adventurous and sporty day. You complete a course that consists of, amongst other things, walking on ropes and sliding down cables. A great activity for all family members!
Water park Aguamar
If you like waterslides, the Aguamar water park is the place to be for you. The Aguamar water park is located next to the beach of Playa d'en Bossa, an ideal place for a whole day of water fun. Would you rather take it easy? Then you can cool down in the relaxation zones and swimming pools and enjoy the radiant sun. For the children, there is a playground where they can also play out of the water.
Sports
Mountainbiking
Due to the many sloping mountains of Ibiza, mountain biking here is perfect for both beginners and professional cyclists. The routes are clearly visible by means of signs with route numbers, but you can also organize a cycling tour. You can cycle on authentic roads that are normally impassable. This way you can cycle directly to unknown bays where no one else comes.
Water sports
Are you more into water sports? Various activities are organized on the sea. You can go on an excursion with your own speedboat or go sailing with a catamaran. Are you very adventurous? Rent a jet ski or go water skiing behind a speedboat. You can experience different adventures on water in Ibiza.
Snorkelling and diving
The most famous rock on the island is Es Vedra and is located off the coast of Cala d’hort. Dolphins are also regularly seen here. You can take a professional dive near the rock under supervision. Don't expect coral reefs like you will encounter in the Red Sea, but it is certainly beautiful to see! Besides, you can snorkel very well in Ibiza. There are many good places to snorkel in Ibiza namely Cap Llibrell, Islas Bledas, El Caballo, La Catedral.
Paddleboarding and kayaking
You get to know Ibiza in a completely different way from the water. Only then will you see how many deserted bays and beautiful rock walls Ibiza has. You can explore these places with a kayak or paddleboard. At Amfibios Ibiza they also organize full moon kayak trips!
Going for a walk
An activity for young and old! Discovering Ibiza by foot is a wonderful way to be amazed over and over by how beautiful the island is. Take a route along the coast, go deep into the mountains or take a nice walk through the small villages. The walks are well marked with signs.
Restaurants
Jardín del Mar
The restaurant Jardín del Mar is highly recommended. This restaurant is located in the village of Portinatx. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the bay and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. At this restaurant, you are able to enjoy a delicious paella or vegetarian/vegan dishes.
Bar Costa
Taste the most delicious tapas at "Bar Costa" located in the artists' village of Santa Gertrudis. Here, the jamón serrano hangs from the ceiling and the walls are covered with paintings that artists have paid the bill with at the time.


Es Molí de Sal
The restaurant Es Molí de Sal is located on the beautiful island of Formentera. In the evening, on the south side of the Molí des Carregador windmill, you can enjoy delicious fish dishes in the high quality fish restaurant "Es Molí de Sal".


Plaza del Sol
Plaza del Sol restaurant is located on Plaza del Sol square of the same name. Plaza del Sol is an attractive square in Ibiza town near the historic centre. At Plaza del Sol you can order various meat and fish dishes.


Caos Ibiza
Caos Ibiza is located in the village of Santa Eulalia del Río. At Caos Ibiza, you can find the tastiest vegetarian dishes. They have a wide range of vegetarian dishes and they also have various meat and fish dishes. At Caos, they have one of the finest sangria on the island.


Bio Bites
One of the places worth visiting is restaurant Bio Bites. This restaurant is located in the Botafoch harbour and offers a view over the sea where you can admire the passing boats. You can go here for the best vegetarian dishes. In addition, you will have the finest fresh juices here.
Villages
Portinatx
Portinatx is a fine and attractive village where you can take beautiful walks and hike near the lighthouse. Here you will find unique views, azure blue water and gently sloping beaches. If you like snorkelling, this is a must, for the reason that you will find many beautiful corals and fish here.
Ibiza Town
Visit the historic centre of Ibiza Town. Through a narrow corridor in the city wall, you reach Dalt Villa where you can taste the historic atmosphere. Walk all the way to the top from where you have a panoramic view of the old town, the harbour "La Marina" and Ibiza Town itself.
Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
This is one of the favourite places in the middle of the island. It is a small village with a pleasant village square with terraces. Here you meet the locals and you really feel the atmosphere of this village. On the village square, you will find a charming church which is also worth seeing. You will also find good quality restaurants here for the evenings.


Santa Eulária des Riu
Santa Eulária des Riu is Ibiza's third-largest city but has the atmosphere of a cosy village. Stroll along the boulevard and visit the spacious harbour with luxury yachts and beautiful squares full of good restaurants and shops.


Sant Carles de Peralta
This small village is located in the north-east of Ibiza between Santa Eularia and the north. The village has a lovely white church and in the village, you will find several restaurants and other great shops. It is located near Las Dalias. The Namasté party is held here every Wednesday evening and from 7 p.m. you can dance and eat there until the early hours. There is live music and it is also a very nice hippie atmosphere with cosy people and great music. Highly recommended to visit when you go to Ibiza!
