VILLA SOLFEZ HOLIDAY HOME IN ELOUNDA
Villa Solfez is located on a small villa park, in a unique location with panoramic views. Here you will experience peace, tranquility and privacy amidst beautiful nature. Marvel at the blue of the Aegean Sea and the earthy colours of Crete. A place that truly gives energy. The modern villa's, designed by architects, are built with natural stones from Elounda, made by local craftsmen. Each villa has its own private pool, lovely large outdoor terrace with sea views, barbecue and covered terrace both by the pool and on the balcony.
Elounda is a cosy, lively village on the coast. The small harbour has nice fish restaurants and taverns and excursion boats depart from here to places such as Spinalonga. The dam to the peninsula with the three windmills is beautiful. From there you have a nice view to Elounda. You can also visit the remains of the city of Olous, which can be found at the dam that lies between the Kalidon peninsula and Elounda's mainland. The landscape around Elounda is beautiful, with endless views. A day's shopping in the historic town of Agios Nikolaos is also worthwhile.
LAYOUT OF VILLA SOLFEZ
Villa Solfez consists of three floors. The main entrance is on the first floor as is the wonderfully bright living room with fireplace, fine seating area and 32' LCD satellite TV. Further on is the dining area and the kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and plenty of kitchen utensils. From the living room, you step onto the balcony with beautiful views over Mirabello Bay. Via a staircase you reach the ground floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and washing machine and dryer. On the second floor is the third bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. From the bedroom you step out onto the balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea. All villas have air conditioning, solar water heaters, Wi-Fi and a safe.
THE PRIVATE OUTDOORS OF VILLA SOLFEZ
Each villa has its own private pool (24 m2) overlooking the sea, lovely large outdoor terrace (140 m2), barbecue and covered terrace both by the pool and on the balcony. Both the front and back of the villa have a private garden full of herbs from the island and colourful flowers. Each villa has its own private parking space. Elounda is 2 km from the villa with sandy beach, many restaurants and bars, a supermarket, shop and a local market on Fridays.

Had the most amazing time. The villa is at the top of a very steep hill, but driving carefully in the car is absolutely fine. It was very peaceful and tranquil. Waking up to the views across the bay cannot be beaten & then a quick 5 minute drive intosee more
Had the most amazing time. The villa is at the top of a very steep hill, but driving carefully in the car is absolutely fine. It was very peaceful and tranquil. Waking up to the views across the bay cannot be beaten & then a quick 5 minute drive into Elounda for breakfast. Taxis are very easy to get if you do not want to hire a car. Internet is very hit & miss, but made us switch off. A toaster in the villa would be a great addition! Housekeeping was every other day. As others have said, you do lose the sun about 3pm, but is an excuse to pop into town for a quick coffeecocktail in the late after sunshine. Elounda & neighbouring areas are stunning and the people are very friendly. Recommend Babel in the harbour for breakfast, along with the Terrasse on the main road towards Agios Nikolai (5 mins away, opposite direction to Elounda). Megaro along the seafront was fantastic for dinner, the staff are so friendly and food top quality. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break. - Harry

We’ve stayed many times in Villa Solfez over the past 8 years and it never disappoints.
If you are looking for a place to totally relax and unwind, this is for you. The private pool and terrace are the perfect place to kick back and relax, the views are simply stunning and this is what has drawn us back year after year. We don’t use the facilities in the villa to cook, relying more on the fantastic local, family run restaurants and bakery , of which we highly recommend Elounda Bakery, Ergaspasio, Olondi and Megaro. Megaro is our favourite as the hosts have become such lovely friends over the years we’ve been visiting Elounda, Nikki and Jimis are the perfect hosts and their food is always amazing. One thing to note, the villa is at the top of a very steep hill but the local taxi firm is excellent and always accommodates trips to and from the main centre of Elounda, usually for a 12 euro fee. - Michelle |

We hadden een geweldige vakantie. De villa ligt op de top van een steile heuvel, maar als je voorzichtig doet is het prima te doen. Het was heerlijk rustig. Wakker worden met het uitzicht over de baai is onovertroffen en dan nog 5 minuten rijden naarsee more
We hadden een geweldige vakantie. De villa ligt op de top van een steile heuvel, maar als je voorzichtig doet is het prima te doen. Het was heerlijk rustig. Wakker worden met het uitzicht over de baai is onovertroffen en dan nog 5 minuten rijden naar Elounda voor het ontbijt. Taxi's zijn gemakkelijk te krijgen als je geen auto wilt huren. Een broodrooster in de villa zou een geweldige aanvulling zijn! Housekeeping was om de dag. Zoals anderen hebben gezegd, je verliest de zon rond 15.00 uur, maar is een excuus om de stad in te gaan voor een snelle koffie of cocktail in de late nazon. Elounda en aangrenzende gebieden zijn prachtig en de mensen zijn erg vriendelijk. Een aanrader is Babel in de haven voor het ontbijt, samen met de Terrasse op de hoofdweg naar Agios Nikolai (5 minuten rijden, tegenovergestelde richting van Elounda). Megaro langs de kust was fantastisch voor het diner, het personeel is zo vriendelijk en het eten is van topkwaliteit. Zou het zeker aanraden voor een ontspannende vakantie. - Harry

Zeer sterk aanbevolen.

Als je op zoek bent naar een plek om volledig te ontspannen en tot rust te komen, dan is dit perfect. Het privé zwembad en het terras zijn de perfecte plek om te relaxen, het uitzicht is gewoonweg prachtig en dat is wat ons jaar na jaar weer aantrekt. Wij gebruiken de faciliteiten in de villa niet om te koken, maar vertrouwen meer op de fantastische lokale, door een familie gerunde restaurants en bakkerijen, waarvan wij Elounda Bakery, Ergaspasio, Olondi en Megaro ten zeerste aanbevelen. Megaro is onze favoriet omdat de gastvrouw en gastheer zulke goede vrienden zijn geworden in de jaren dat we Elounda bezoeken. Nikki en Jimis zijn de perfecte gastvrouw en hun eten is altijd geweldig. De villa ligt op de top van een zeer steile heuvel, maar het plaatselijke taxibedrijf is uitstekend en verzorgt altijd ritjes van en naar het centrum van Elounda, meestal voor 12 euro. - Michelle |
