VILLA SIRENA VACATION HOME IN ASTERI
Villa Sirena is a fantastic holidayhome with private pool and seperate children's pool on Crete, located in the sleepy village of Asteri near the bay of Rethymnon. This holiday home is built in beautiful ancient Greek style and is located just 3 km from the beach. The villa was built in 1955 and belonged until 1980 to the Skordilis family who had a timber trade in the village. Villa Sirena has subsequently been transformed into a paradise holiday villa with modern influences and preservation of authentic elements. The lounge terrace on the first floor with white curtains is a unique place to sit back and relax.
From here you have beautiful views over the village and the coastline. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the dining table. But you can also relax under the wooden pergola in the garden on hot summer days. The wonderfully spacious private swimming pool with separate children's pool also offers refreshment. You can sunbathe on the sunbeds while enjoying complete privacy surrounded by cypresses and orange trees. At the end of the day you can cook outside with the whole family. In addition to a grill, there is also a wood oven.
Traveling with a large group? You can also book Villa Pelagia (located opposite) and Villa Stacia (located next door). When you book these three villas together, you can stay here with 20 people.
LAYOUT VILLA SIRENA
Immediately upon entering, you enter the spacious living room with a nice sitting area, satellite television, DVD player and fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, blender, 4-burner electric hob and plenty of kitchen utensils. On the ground floor you will find two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. Bedroom 1 features a makeup mirror, Smart TV, safe and an en-suite bathroom with hydro massage whirlpool tub, toilet, sink and hairdryer. Bedroom 2 has a Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with hydro massage shower, sink and toilet. From one of the bedrooms on the first floor you have direct access to the garden and private pool.
On the first floor you will find the third and fourth bedroom and another two bathrooms. The third bedroom has a double bed and the fourth bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms on the first floor are provided with a shower, toilet and sink. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the balcony. You can sunbathe and lounge on this spacious balcony. The white curtains also provide cooling on hot summer days. Wi-Fi and air conditioning are also available throughout the villa. There is also a hair dryer, washing machine and dryer.
THE PRIVATE OUTDOORS OF VILLA SIRENA
The outdoor liffe of Villa Sirena is perfect. You can relax on the sunbeds around the spacious private pool (8x 5m - depth 1 - 1.4m) with childrenspool (depth 0.55m) You will also find a parasol and outdoor shower here. On the outdoor barbecue and wood oven you can cook outside. Villa Sirena is completely fenced and has an electric gate. Children can therefore not just walk into the street.

Stroll through the picturesque streets and don't forget to visit the museum with a rich collection from the past. Behind the museum is a very good taverna hidden where you can eat delicious and buy various local products. The beach is only 3 kilometers away and in the village you will find a number of nice taverns (50 meters). The beautiful city of Rethymnon is located 15 kilometers away. A mini supermarket is located 30 meters away. In the nearby village of Stavromenos (2 km) you will find a bakery, butcher, petrol station, pharmacy and several taverns.

Absolutely lovely villa in quiet and peaceful setting. Amazing views from the roof terrace, lovely pool and outside dining area (including bbq and pizza oven). Argiris was a great host and very accommodating considering that we arrived just after midnight. Ample parking for 2 cars - there were 7 adults and 1 infant in our party. Nearby there are a traditional taverna (Poliou), and a lovely mezze bar (Romeo & Juliet). The beach and Rethymnon are a short drive (10 mins to Platanes, less to Stavromenas), and you can reach the southern coast (Plakias) in an hour. Very well recommended and we would love to visit again! - Chris

We had a lovely stay at the villa. It was clean and ready for us. Our host was extremely hospitable and friendly. He was quick to respond when we had inquiries and gave us some tips for the area. He referred us to his cousin's restaurant a few doors see more

De villa was geweldig voor 2 gezinnen vooral met 2 ensuites boven. Geweldig zwembad. Mooi rustig dorp op korte rijafstand van Rethymnon. Behulpzame gastheren die halverwege ons verblijf schoonmaakten. - Natalie

Absoluut prachtige villa in een rustige en vredige omgeving. Geweldig uitzicht vanaf het dakterras, heerlijk zwembad en buiten eetruimte (inclusief bbq en pizza-oven). Argiris was een geweldige gastheer en zeer meegaand omdat we net na middernacht aasee more

Argiris was een geweldige gastheer en zeer meegaand omdat we net na middernacht aankwamen. Ruime parkeergelegenheid voor 2 auto's - we waren met 7 volwassenen en 1 kind. In de buurt zijn er een traditionele taverna (Poliou), en een heerlijke mezze bar (Romeo & Juliet). Het strand en Rethymnon zijn een korte rit (10 minuten naar Platanes, minder naar Stavromenas), en de zuidkust (Plakias) is in een uur te bereiken. Zeer goed bevallen, we komen zeker nog eens terug! - Chris

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in de villa. Het was schoon en klaar voor ons. Onze gastheer was zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk. Hij reageerde snel als we vragen hadden en gaf ons enkele tips voor de omgeving. Hij verwees ons naar het restaurant van zisee more

We hadden zo'n geweldige tijd met deze bijzondere gastvrije mensen. Het dorp zit vol met vriendelijke behulpzame inwoners die ons verblijf beter maakten dan we ons hadden kunnen voorstellen. - Aviva
