Here you will find peace and space far away from mass tourism. It is a beach that is ideal for sunbathing and relaxing. On the weekends it is somewhat busier on the beach. This is because several locals will go to the beach too. Playa de las Burras consists of a sandy beach and a pebble beach.
Many families with children come here because of the sheltered location. Volleyball or soccer is also regularly played on the beach. Playa de las Burras is also a favorite of runners because of its unique nature location and excellent running opportunities across the boulevard along the beach. You can make a trip from Playa de las Burras to the fashionable Pasito Blanco with its luxurious marina and fine beach restaurants. The resort of Puerto del Carmen has several fine golden sand beaches. The largest and most popular beach is Playa Grande, which is located on the pleasant boulevard full of bars, restaurants and shops .. At the end of the boulevard you arrive at the quiet and child-friendly Playa de Pocillos. Various sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent on these beaches.
A relatively less crowded beach in Puerto del Carmen is Playa de Pocillos where you have plenty of space. After arriving at the beach, you will find a beautiful, more than a kilometre long and extremely wide area of light, fine sand. It is very shallow and the gentle swell is ideal for swimming.

The Cueva de los Verdes is a cave system with a lava tunnel on the Spanish island of Lanzarote. The tunnel with a length of 6 km runs from the crater of the volcano La Corona to the coast at Jameos del Agua. In some places it is fifty meters high and fifteen meters wide.

There is also a market on all days of the week (except Sunday). In the summer there are many performances in squares. Perfect to enjoy with your wine from your terrace.
In the Breña Alta area, tobacco is still grown, so you can see how cigars are still made by hand. Breña Alta also has some nice viewpoints such as La Concepción, La Cumbre and Montaña de la Breña. From here you have a great view over this beautiful area. You also have the opportunity to visit some lava beaches. The Maroparque is also located in Breña Alta. César Manrique was a Spanish painter, architect and construction consultant. His style can be seen as non-figurative, in balance with the surrounding nature. Many buildings and projects on the island of Lanzarote such as Mirador del Río, Jameos del Agua, Jardín de Cactus as well as the restaurant El Diablo in the Timanfaya National Park and the hotel Gran Meliá Salinas in Costa Teguise are among his works. Manrique made sure that most buildings on Lanzarote are built no higher than four floors, that they were mainly white and very light in colour and that the window frames were painted green, blue or brown.
The Cactus Garden, built in an old quarry in the north of the island, is a creation of César Manrique. Designed in the shape of an amphitheatre, the garden is made up of more than 10,000 cacti from all over the world, along with beautiful volcanic rock sculptures.
Not to be confused with the seaside resort of Costa Teguise. Teguise is amazing; a town with a rich history. The town is descended from the early fifteenth century and was the capital of Lanzarote until 1852. The village is designed in an attractive Andalusian style. There is a market on Sundays in Teguise. The market starts in the morning at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.
El Golfo is the village that is located at the former El Golfo volcano. El Golfo is a fishing village. A few hundred meters from the village of El Golf is a poisonous green lake: Lago Verde. The name says it all because it means nothing more or less than 'green lake'. It is originated in an old crater, that is why the water is still supplied underground to the lake.
Yaiza is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Lanzarote. Most of the houses in Yaiza are white with green windows and doors. The main square is the village square Plazoleta de Victor Fernández where the eighteenth-century church is located: Nuestra Señonpra de los Remedios. To have a nice view of the village, you can climb the stone stairs that can be found near the bus parking areas. From there you will experience a beautiful view over Yaiza.
The village of Haría is located in the north of the island of Lanzarote. If you follow the route from the south towards Mirador del Río, you will automatically encounter the village. Haría is located in the Valley of the Thousand Palms. And yes, that's right! There are not thousands, but dozens in and around Haría. Like all villages on Lanzarote, it is mainly the colour white that determines the street scene. On Saturdays, there is a market in Haría. During sunset, you must visit the Es Vedrà nature reserve. Here you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset where the mountain Es Vedrà forms a silhouette in the water. At sunset, this is perhaps one of the most magical places in Ibiza.

A great activity on Ibiza with children is a visit to the ecological farm "Can Muson". This farm is not very big, but the garden is very well maintained and there are a number of farm animals. There is also a nice playground in a nice shadowy spot. Attached to the farm there is a fruit and vegetable shop, where they sell a number of home-grown fruit and vegetables.
Just north of San Antonio, you will find Aquarium Cap Blanc. This aquarium is located in a natural cave and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. In the cave, there is a lake which is divided into two parts with many kinds of coloured fish from the Mediterranean. You can also see sharks, rays, starfish and squid.
Acrobosc Ibiza is a fantastic climbing forest where young and old can enjoy an adventurous and sporty day. You complete a course that consists of, amongst other things, walking on ropes and sliding down cables. A great activity for all family members!
If you like waterslides, the Aguamar water park is the place to be for you. The Aguamar water park is located next to the beach of Playa d'en Bossa, an ideal place for a whole day of water fun. Would you rather take it easy? Then you can cool down in the relaxation zones and swimming pools and enjoy the radiant sun. For the children, there is a playground where they can also play out of the water.
Due to the many sloping mountains of Ibiza, mountain biking here is perfect for both beginners and professional cyclists. The routes are clearly visible by means of signs with route numbers, but you can also organize a cycling tour. You can cycle on authentic roads that are normally impassable. This way you can cycle directly to unknown bays where no one else comes.
The most famous rock on the island is Es Vedra and is located off the coast of Cala d’hort. Dolphins are also regularly seen here. You can take a professional dive near the rock under supervision. The Namasté party is held here every Wednesday evening and from 7 p.m. you can dance and eat there until the early hours. There is live music and it is also a very nice hippie atmosphere with cosy people and great music. Highly recommended to visit when you go to Ibiza!
Bahia Beach in Palm-Mar is a short drive from the Desino estate in Guaza. You will find wonderful lounge areas here. Often a live band plays in the evenings. All in all, an amazing place with a blissful beach atmosphere.
A very beautiful lava beach is Playa los Cristianos. The seabed here slopes gradually and is therefore suitable for (young) children. A beautiful avenue runs along the beach with various play options such as a playground and trampolines.
Playa de la Tejita near El Médano is the longest natural beach in Tenerife and very popular with surfers because of the strong north-east wind. On the west side, there are fewer waves, so you can swim very well here.

Caldera de Taburiente National Park is the symbol of La Palma. You can enjoy walking and wandering around here. The hiking trails are well marked and easily accessible. Mirador del Time is a viewing point 500 metres above Tazacorte. You look out over the landscape of Los Llanos, the valley of Aridane and the Cumbres. The Atlantic Ocean is also clearly visible. It is a popular place to go in the evening so you can see the lights in the valley below.
Playa Los Guirres is located just north of Porto Naos, on the west coast of the island. You drive from Porto Naos on a neglected asphalt road through a no man's land of banana plantations. You enter a well-kept parking lot and you are at Los Guirres. Playa Los Guirres is a pebble beach and mainly known by the locals. For a delicious lunch or dinner, you can visit the restaurant Kiosko Playa Los Guirres, where they serve the tastiest tapas and fish dishes!
Playa Charco Verde is a natural bay with sand all year round. The bay is located a few kilometres south of Puerto Naos. If you love to snorkel this is the beach for you! To the right of the rock is an excellent spot for snorkelling, you will find the most beautiful fish here.

In addition to the delicious tapas, they have the tastiest desserts here, so be sure to reserve a spot!
Many experience the surroundings of Puntagorda as one of the most beautiful natural areas of La Palma. Here you will find beautiful viewpoints over the blue sea, many beautiful hiking trails and, last but not least, viewpoint "Montana Miraflores" with a phenomenal view over the mountains. Every weekend there is a market in the "Mercadillo" where the owners only sell local fruit and vegetables as well as herbs, wine, almond mousse and marmalades. The pleasant city of Los Llanos de Aridane has a nice historic centre. The large square near the church is an important meeting place at night. Locals often gather here and there are a few terraces to be found. If you want to know even more about the culture and history, you should definitely visit the archaeological museum Benahoarita in Los Llanos. There are also many banana plantations around the place.
The former harbour town of San Andrés is located in the northeast of the island. San Andrés is, according to many, the nicest village on the island because you can still see the typical architecture of the Canary Islands. In the centre is the "Plaza de San Andrés", a square surrounded by large palm trees. You will find many nice terraces on this square!
Fuencaliente de la Palma is located in the south of La Palma. In and around Fuencaliente there are many large and small volcanoes. When you are near Fuencaliente, it is definitely worth taking a look at the "Salinas Marinas de Fuencaliente", the salt pans. The salt pans create a special look because the white of the salt contrasts strongly with the black of the rocks in this rugged area.

The restaurant is located on an old estate that was originally a seventeenth-century sugar cane plantation. At El Sitio, you can enjoy the delicious traditional cuisine of the island. Iznájar belongs to one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalusia, located next to a reservoir. The village is surrounded by olive trees, mountains and hills, a breathtaking view.
